These varieties can be planted, in late August thru September. Many of these will overwinter with some protection.

This is the original Australian heirloom Swiss Chard. The leaves are a colourful mix of pink/yellow/orange/red and white.
This rare variety is a small plant with fine leaves and very frilly. It is an extremely fast grower and bolts in the heat, so best planted in spring or fall.
This Italian heirloom known as Nero di Toscana dates back to 1885. The leaves are a blue/grey colour that matures into long straps up to 1 foot long.
The stalks are bright red and form small bulbs. We plant in late summer and early spring.
This famous heirloom is the mainstay of the winter garden, here on the coast. Mature leaves are a blue/gray with purple veins.
