Our Terms of Business

Our Commitment - All seeds are organically grown, open pollinated and not genetically modified. They are produced in small batches and selected from the best plants grown out each year. Germination tests are conducted on our inventory to ensure viability. Detailed seeding information is provided throughout this website to assist you in providing the best care for your plants.

Packaging - We have made the transition to being a green business. Our paper stocks and packets are recycled and unbleached. Our packet sizes are chosen for less bulk and to keep mailing costs to a minimum. To assist in our conservation efforts, there is a printer friendly document on our website. Look for “Seeding for Success” for all your seeding instructions. All of our collections are individually labeled.

Seed counts - Our packet sizes are noted in each category and are approximate. Some varieties we offer are very rare and not readily available elsewhere. These selections will have a smaller amount of seed in order to share them with as many of you as possible.

Ordering - We accept orders online using PayPal, or cheques and money orders if you choose. Upon receipt of payment via website or your mailed payment, your order is usually processed within 2 business days. We do not accept phone orders for our out of town customers. If you are in the local area, we are open for seed sales on Tuesdays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm or please call ahead for an appointment.  U.S. visitors please see our 'Shipping to USA' information page for specific instructions on getting seeds across the border.

Gift Certificates - We offer them and will send them out to your friends and family too, perfect for the holiday season or any reason.

Phone Service - We are happy to answer your inquiries by phone. If you are long distance, please use email for the best service, if you can’t reach us directly. Our office hours are from 10:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday.

Back Orders - Our store is open year round, but not all seeds are available, or become sold out during the peak season from January to April. We can place your requests on back order, issue a credit slip, substitute a similar variety or offer a refund. Please take a moment to advise us of your preference in the 'Comment' box during check out, otherwise, a credit slip will be issued.

Medicinal Uses of Plants - We are Horticulturists and Seed Keepers. Historical uses and descriptions of our medicinal collection of herbs are provided for your interest. Self medication is never advised. Please seek the care and advice of your health care professional for any treatment.
