Home About Us

Marsha Goldberg is a practicing Horticulturist and Landscape Designer. Started a landscaping and design business in Edmonton, Alberta in 1977, using organic methods, specializing in container growing, interiors and residential installations. Moved to Salt Spring Island, BC in 1993  to start Eagleridge Greenhouse Gardens with Jane Schweitzer, Horticulturist, who has a professional background in garden center and plant store management in Alberta and BC. She currently practices as a Floral Designer and is the photographer for this website.

The heirloom seed farm was started in 1995. Marsha has acted as a Farm manager for 2 other local organic farms from 1994-1995 and from 2007-2009 and still carries out an active landscape and farm consultation service. She is also the Founding Director of The Salt Spring Sanctuary Society, started in 2002. We are active members of the local Farmers Institute and The Garden Club. We support the Copper Kettle Community Garden  and the local chapter of Transition Salt Spring.

Our extensive background in retail garden center management, landscape design and consultation has prompted us to shift from our wholesale seed business to provide our expertise to  the retail market and the home gardener. Our interest in bringing good design principles and beauty to the vegetable garden has created a  balanced ecosystem on our farm that can be implemented anywhere. It is our aim to provide our customers with the best  advice, to support our quality organic seeds.
